Great News! MACC is in the process of upgrading Microsoft 365 for an improved learning environment for enrolled students, faculty, and staff. Benefits of this merge include improved collaboration among faculty, staff, and students; access to the downloadable Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); enhanced security; and expanded storage capacity through OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.
As part of this upgrade, your email address will change. Beginning January 7, 2026, once the upgrade is complete, your new email address will be “studentID”@student.macc.edu (e.g., 012345@student.macc.edu). Your password will remain the same. It’s the one you currently use for Canvas, myMACC, on-campus computers, and MACC Wi-Fi. You can access your new email and Microsoft 365 apps by signing in at the MACC homepage or at www.office.com using your new email address. Remember to add student.macc.edu to your multi-factor authentication (MFA) app. For step-by-step instructions, please refer to the FAQ document.
Please note that your data will not be automatically migrated from your old email account (mail.macc.edu) to your new account (student.macc.edu). This includes any files stored in your OneDrive. As a result, you will need to manually transfer any important emails, OneDrive files, and Teams content you wish to keep. Access to mail.macc.edu accounts will be discontinued in the next few months. We will provide detailed instructions soon on how to move data to your Microsoft 365 account, along with the deadline for doing so.
We are excited about this “Big Change” and are here to help you as MACC makes this exciting transition.
