The MACC Music curriculum provides a basic foundation in music as well as the opportunity to participate in a collegiate choir or even private study to advance vocal and piano skills. Students can complete Music courses each semester while at MACC and then transfer for further study in the discipline. Many of Missouri’s four-year institutions offer bachelor’s degrees in Music. Interested students should consult with a MACC advisor about transfer opportunities.

VOCAL MUSIC AWARD

Vocal Music Awards are awarded on a competitive basis upon the recommendation of the MACC Music Director. To be eligible for the award, students must audition and enroll in the vocal music program and actively participate as instructed by the Music Director. The number and amount of individual awards may vary, and will be determined by the needs of the Vocal Music Department, ranging from $250 to $1,500; a maximum of $15,000 per semester may be awarded to all recipients.

Join the MACC Singers!

The MACC Singers is composed of approximately thirty students and community members. Participants audition for the choir and are selected on the basis of musicianship as well as singing ability.
