Moberly Area Community College is proud to announce that two of our Phi Theta Kappa members, Emma Wedel and Tanner Winnat, have been selected for prestigious national scholarships recognizing their academic achievement, leadership, and career readiness.
Emma Wedel was named a 2025 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar, earning a $1,000 scholarship. Sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, this award recognizes 200 Phi Theta Kappa members nationwide who demonstrate outstanding academic excellence and leadership potential. A panel of independent judges selected this year’s recipients from more than 600 applicants.
Emma Wedel and Tanner Winnat were also chosen as inaugural 2025 Chime Workforce Scholars, each receiving a $1,000 scholarship from the Chime Scholars Foundation. This program supports 200 community college students enrolled in workforce-ready programs, providing funds for both educational expenses and career-specific costs such as certification fees, uniforms, and tools.
Together, these awards highlight the remarkable accomplishments of our MACC students and the opportunities available through Phi Theta Kappa to support educational and career goals.
