Institutional Scholarships

Health Science Department Scholarships:

One scholarship will be awarded from each Health Science Department (currently seven): Associate Degree Nursing, Accelerated Associate Degree Nursing, Practical Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technician, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Surgical Technology, and Behavior Health Support.

 


 

Other Non-Institutional & Endowment Scholarships

All applicants must meet specific scholarship guidelines. Any additional comments or recommendations are welcome. Please attach a copy of the high school transcript (include ACT scores if available) to the application. It is strongly recommended that students file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to document financial need. Award values are subject to change.

This scholarship is for students attending the Virtual ADN program on the Mexico campus. This scholarship will be given to the student who demonstrates and completes the following: Shows financial need; shows outstanding academic performance. Applicants must provide a written narrative stating their philosophy of nursing that should also include their career goals, life goals and past accomplishments.
The Thelma Shaw Memorial Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to a student in the Moberly Practical Nursing program. Funding continues for the student through the Virtual Associate Degree in Nursing at MACC. Approximate value is 50% of the tuition, course fees, text books, clinical fees and technology fees of the Practical Nursing Program each semester and, if accepted VADN Program, funding may continue through graduation. Students who are applying for this scholarship must be at least 21 years of age and will be selected based upon the following: Financial need; Academic achievement and character. Preference will be given to those applicants with children. Additionally, students applying for this scholarship will need to submit a statement describing their personal attributes/characteristics that they have that will shape them into a nurse. Secondly, student will also need to write about what has motivated them to seek a career in nursing.
This scholarship is for students attending the Practical Nursing program on the Moberly campus. The student that is chosen for this scholarship will be selected based on demonstration for financial need and outstanding academic performance. The award given is a $200 one-time award.
This scholarship is established to assist students in Health Sciences Programs at Moberly Area Community College. The selection criteria are based upon: financial need, academic performance, and satisfactory progress towards degree or certificate.
This scholarship is for a student attending the ADN or Virtual ADN program on the Moberly campus. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates financial need. The award given is a $500 one-time award.
