Start your path toward a rewarding healthcare career with Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Technician (CMT) training through the MACC Workforce Development Center. These short-term programs are designed to prepare students for in-demand careers in long-term care facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, and other healthcare settings.
The CNA program teaches essential resident care skills and prepares students to assist nurses with direct patient care. The program includes online instruction and supervised clinical experience in a long-term care facility.
For those looking to advance their healthcare training, the CMT program provides instruction in administering nonparenteral medications under the supervision of licensed nurses. Students complete online coursework along with supervised clinical practice. Applicants must be a CNA for at least six months prior to enrollment.
Both programs are offered each semester, providing flexible opportunities for students to begin training throughout the year. Financial assistance may also be available through programs such as Missouri SkillUp and Fast Track.
