Altrusa International Foundation ASTRA College/University Scholarship is an opportunity to recognize collegiate ASTRA Members who have grown through service in ASTRA. The winning applicant demonstrates exemplary Altruism within her community. This year, Bobbi NeJedly of Moberly Area Community College was selected to represent this honor and award.
Bobbi is currently seeking her Associate’s Degree in Nursing. She represented MACC ASTRA as the organization’s president. She is also actively involved in the Student Nurses’ Association, St. Raymond’s Society, and City of Refuge. Bobbi is a single mother of three children. Balancing family, education and work can be quite challenging, but Bobbi also finds the time to give back to her community! This year, Bobbi assisted with the annual MACC Fall Food Drive, MACC Career Closet, Toys for Tots Toy Drive as well as established the first St. Raymond’s Christmas Program/Gift Drive for the Columbia location. She invited the director to speak to the MACC ASTRA Group and provided details of their mission for women and children.
“We are so proud of this young lady and her accomplishments. She is very deserving of this $1,000 scholarship! We wish her all the best in her future endeavors, congratulations,” says Sonda Stuart, Director of Data & Student Success, Moberly Area Community College.
