Due to a recent malicious phishing email we are requiring our students to change their MACC password starting on 8/25/22. Our system will force these password changes to occur starting at 5am, Thursday, August 25th. This will allow us to continue to protect all student accounts.
The system will force you to change your password on the morning of the 25th, even if you changed your password recently. You will use MyMACC to change your password.
- There are two methods to change your password. One is to login to MyMACC on or after the 25th. Once logged in, MyMACC will request a new password to be entered.
- The second method is to use the Forgot my Password link on MyMACC. This is performed by entering in your student ID as well as your personal recovery email. A link to change your password will be sent to the private email on file.
Please verify your personal recovery email by clicking on the Set Recovery Email link on MyMACC prior to Thursday, August 25th.
Your new password needs to be at least 8 characters long. It cannot contain your name and requires three of the four categories listed below:
- Uppercase Characters
- Lowercase Characters
- Numeric Characters
- Non Alpha-Number Characters ( for example, !, $, #, %)
If you have issues changing your password please contact the Helpdesk at (660) 263-4100 x11555 or by emailing helpdesk@macc.edu.
Computer Services will also be hosting a Zoom room this Saturday, 8/27/22, and Sunday, 8/28/22 from 9:00am to 2:00pm to assist with student password changes if you need additional assistance. Please bring a photo ID to the zoom session for us to assist you. Please email helpdesk@macc.edu for the zoom link if you need assistance over the weekend.
Thank you for helping us keep MACC’s network safe and secure for our students, faculty, and staff.
