The Moberly Area Community College Associate Degree Nursing Pinning Ceremony was held on May 20, 2010, at the MACC Activity Center. Nineteen nursing graduates were presented with their nursing pins.
The graduates were: Brittany Martin (Fulton), DeAnna McGowan (Macon), Amber Perez (Marshall) Aleasha Lewis (Palmyra), Sarah Dometrorch (Columbia), Nicole Shields (Columbia), Ashley Nichols (Columbia), Lindsay Dye (Perry), Andrea Krog (Clarence), Melissa Griffin (Centralia), Hillary Cuno (Mexico), Jayme Barger (Columbia), Ashley Lee (Columbia), Krystal Ramsey (Shelbyville), Patricia Coons (Macon), Jennifer Tyree-Taylor (Macon), John Clardy (Moberly), Amanda Hodges (Mexico), Amanda Clayton (Columbia).
Dr. Evelyn E. Jorgenson, MACC President, welcomed the graduates, their friends and family members to the ceremony. Dr. Kathryn Burks, R.N., Ph.D., the Designated Learning Officer at Harry S. Truman Veteran’s Hospital, gave a motivational address. Ruth Jones and MACC Dean of Career and Technical Education Greg Mosier presented awards.
John Clardy and Ashley Lee were the recipients of the Clinical Excellence Award and Patricia Coons was the recipient of the Academic Excellence Award. Nicole Shields received the Missouri League of Nursing Outstanding Student of the Year Award.
A reception for friends and family followed the ceremony.
