Houndmail Phishing Attempt

MACC students and employees have recently received a phishing email in their houndmail accounts. The email claimed to be from the Houndmail Help Desk System and asked for user ID and Password. Please be advised that MACC Computer Services will never send an email requesting account information. Never respond to an email of this nature. Please report it to Computer Services as soon as possible. If you have replied to an email of this nature please contact computer services at 660-263-4100 ext. 555, and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
------A recent phishing email read as follows------

Dear houndmail.macc.edu User,
We would like to inform you that we are currently carrying out scheduled
maintenance and upgrade of our houndmail.macc.edu web mail service and as
a result of this; our houndmail.macc.edu client has been changed and your
original password will reset. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
To maintain your houndmail.macc.edu account, you must reply to this email
immediately and enter your current username { } and password here { }
Failure to do this within 48hours will immediately render your
houndmail.macc.edu account deactivated from our database.
