Join Us for Headshot Photo Days
Phi Theta Kappa is offering “Picture Day” to include professional style photographs for MACC students to use for applications, resume, LinkedIn profile, or any other source that will benefit the chosen career path. A professional profile should include a summary of your skills, strengths, and key experiences. It also should convey what you are seeking or what you have to offer the person reading it.
A professional image is the image that one projects about themselves based upon appearance and reputation. Your image can be conveyed as professional by the way you dress, the way you speak, the way you respond to others, and the way that others speak about you.
A strong, professional profile that includes a professional photo and strong profile allows you to position yourself as a leader in your field. A well-written profile attracts potential employers as well as other professionals, giving you the opportunity to gain new business and expand your network. Your online profile gives a more comprehensive view of who you are. Sites like LinkedIn, allow you to easily link to other sites where employers can get a broader image of who you are, like a personal Twitter, website, blog, video resume, or anything else you can hyperlink to.
In aiding the MACC student population in creating their professional portfolio and social media accounts, we are inherently creating a more positive working and communication network with surrounding employers. This benefits Moberly Area Community College, its students, and employers.
