Angel Watson of Atlanta Receives the Charles and Margaret Hartig Nursing Scholarship for the MACC-Moberly Practical Nursing Program Cohort
Moberly Area Community College - Moberly announced that Angel Watson, Atlanta, MO resident and practical nursing student at MACC-Moberly, is the recipient of the Charles and Margaret Hartig Nursing Scholarship. The Charles E. and Margaret L. Hartig Scholarship was established by a trust fund from the estate of Charles E. and Margaret L. Hartig, long-time residents of Moberly. Mr. Hartig bequeathed the sum of $10,000, the interest from which may be used to financially assist nursing students attending Moberly Area Community College. This scholarship is made available to only Practical Nursing Students. Approximate value is $300 for one semester.
The Charles H. and Margaret L. Hartig Memorial Scholarship is open to Moberly PN Students. Selection criteria is based on financial need and academic promise.
“It is an honor to be receiving this scholarship, I am so thankful. My plans are to finish the Practical Nursing Program at MACC and then continue on to the AADN program, then attending Columbia College to get my Bachelor’s of Nursing. With hopes to get a job in the NICU at Women’s and Children’s Hospital one day, “ said Watson. “I have always wanted to be a nurse and am so glad I have the opportunity to do so. I am glad I’m attending such a good college to help me through my dream.”
