CTE Month Celebrates with Proclamation
In Celebration of National Career & Technical Education Month, Mayor Pro Temp, Shane Adrian, presented a proclamation to CTE Dean Jo Fey at Moberly Area Community College’s Career & Technical Center on Monday, February 12th . Other Faculty, Staff and Students were also present to accept this recognition from the City of Moberly.
Career and Technical Education prepares student for careers through technical, academic and employability skills. CTE courses provide work- based learning while participating in rigorous programs that provide them with skill sets such as problem-solving, project completion, research, communication, time-management, critical thinking, and in many cases, industry certification in a concentration area. MACC is proud to offer a variety of CTE Programs at all five campus locations. Programs include: Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medication Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Business Administration (Accounting, Management and Marketing), Business Office Administration, Computer Information Technology (Networking and Programming), Early Childhood Education, Engineering Design & Development (Architectural & Mechanical Design and Machine Tool), Engineering Systems (Maintenance and Mechatronics), Law Enforcement Training Center, Fire Academy, and Certified Production Technician.
