MACC Alumni and Friends Banquet Set for Saturday, April 27
The Moberly Area Community College Alumni and Friends Banquet is set for Saturday, April 27 at Heartland Banquet Center in Moberly. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Alumni who have graduated from the Moberly High School (or "lower division"), MACC (formerly MJC and MAJC), as well as friends who have supported the institution throughout the years are invited to attend.
"The annual alumni banquet is a great opportunity for alumni from all decades to reunite with classmates and faculty and to also meet new friends," said Chad Jaecques, director of Institutional Development and Alumni Services.
The anniversary classes of 1953, 1963, 1973, 1988, and 2003 will be recognized. The College is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first nursing (A.D.N.) graduates of 1983. The A.D.N. anniversary classes of 1983, 1993, and 2003 will also be recognized.
Susan Y. Rasmussen will be presented with the Outstanding Alumni Award. Rasmussen was a member of the first A.D.N. class and is currently an Family Nurse Practitioner with Moberly Regional Medical Center.
Good Radio.tv will be presented with the Distinguished Service Award. Additionally, an MACC faculty member will be presented with the Outstanding Faculty Award.
This year's banquet will include a new item on the agenda. Instead of the traditional breakfast event, the induction of seven men and seven women into the honorary organizations Brother's Ox and NGN will take place during the banquet.
