StartFest To Be Held In Moberly
Moberly, MO - Grow Mid-Missouri, the small business development partnership, has announced that StartFest will be held Thursday, March 7th at the Moberly Municipal Auditorium. StartFest is the culmination of work being done by several entrepreneurs in an effort to start new business ventures in the Mid-Missouri region.
The event that is open to the public, and will be held for the first time in Mid-Missouri at the Moberly Municipal Auditorium. During the event several new business ventures will unveil their new products and services.
"We very excited about reaching this milestone", said Dan Lobina, Director of the Small Business Development & Technology center on the campus of Moberly Area Community College. "This process of supporting new business ventures through Grow Mid-Missouri has been going on for nearly a year."
The Grow Mid-Missouri partnership was formed by an investment of resources by Moberly Area Community College, Moberly Area Economic Development and the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce. The partnership is designed to better support entrepreneurs with the tools needed to start a new business in Mid-Missouri.
"There will be several entrepreneurs that have worked through the program that will debut their companies," said Debbie Miller, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. "Anytime we can support the starting of a local business that helps everyone in the region."
The program for the evening of Thursday, March 7th will begin at 7:00pm where the public is invited to hear a presentation by each company.
"This is a good opportunity for the Mid-Missouri community to see new, local companies as they are beginning," said Lobina. "It is also a great opportunity for someone interested in starting a business to learn more about Grow Mid-Missouri."
