Lady Greyhounds Shoot for a Cure
Moberly Area Community College Lady Greyhounds are suiting up to do their part in spreading breast cancer awareness. On Monday, February 11, the Lady Greyhounds will hold their annual "Shooting for a Cure" event to raise money for the Randolph County Relay for Life. The Greyhound Women will host NJCAA Region 16 opponent Jefferson College at 6:00 p.m. at the MACC Activity Center in Moberly.
The Lady Hounds encourage their fans to cover the stands in shades of pink. Special edition white T-shirts are available for $10.00 and feature a pink and grey MACC Basketball logo on the front with the "Shooting for a Cure" logo on the back. A raffle will also be held. Among the items to be raffled are two 11"x17" signed, MACC Women's Basketball Posters commemorating the game, a hand-made, ribbon-tied MACC t-shirt quilt with a "Shooting for a Cure" theme, two MACC polo shirts, and an autographed jersey.
The annual event is part of nation-wide effort to draw awareness to, and raise money for, cancer research. MACC & the Lady Greyhounds are proud to be a part of the cure.
