Off-Campus Holiday Community Projects

While the Main Campus was raising money and food for the Golden Drumstick Challenge, MACC’s Off-Campus sites were spreading a little holiday cheer themselves.

MACC-Columbia Higher Education Center faculty and staff adopted four elderly disabled men through the Voluntary Action Organization. They provided food and fulfilled the Christmas wish lists for the men.

MACC-Hannibal Higher Education Center students, faculty, and staff collected hygiene products and food items for the Hannibal Public Schools Buddy Pack Program. The Hannibal PTK also collected peanut butter and contributed to the Buddy Pack Program.

MACC-Kirksville Higher Learning Center faculty, staff, and students adopted a child through the City of Kirksville Christmas Project. They also decorated the Twin Pines Nursing Home with help from art instructor Nancy Herron. Mrs. Herron’s art classes, along with PTK members, decorated a tree at the Kirksville Arts Association to be auctioned off to benefit the Arts Association.

Advanced Technology Center, Mexico PTK members, faculty, and staff collected food for the help center.

Thanks to all MACC employees and students who helped make the holidays special for hundreds of families in our service region.
