As a community, MACC values the importance of Juneteenth. The end of slavery in the United States is a significant milestone in our history and should be celebrated. In honor of the holiday, MACC will be holding a celebration on each of our five campuses and virtually via Zoom on Monday, June 19th beginning at 12 noon.
This celebration will include:
- Traditional Juneteenth snacks and beverages.
- Streaming videos explaining the significance of the day followed by the movie Selma.
- A roundtable discussion where any questions or stories can be shared.
Events will begin at 12pm and continue until around 4pm. Please join us when you can! You may join the celebration at these locations:
Moberly: Steffes Conference Room – 12 noon
Columbia: Commons Area – 12 noon
Kirksville: Check in at the front desk for location – 12 noon
Hannibal: Conference Room – 12 noon
