Moberly Area Community College invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of Academic Affairs.

Requirements: Master’s Degree required, Doctorate preferred, with a strong background in higher education. Experience in higher education administration, full time teaching at a community college, or other related professional background; strong written and oral communication as well as interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated leadership ability, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, and a commitment to the community college mission.

Responsibilities: Provides leadership and supervision of associate degree programs in a variety of academic programs; recommends for hire, supervises, and evaluates faculty and staff; develops annual budget requests; cultivates relationships with other colleges and universities, secondary schools, and private, governmental, and professional organizations; serves on the President's Administrative Council; supervises the preparation and submission of state and federal reports; assists in the development and supervision of out-of-district sites, courses and programs; maintains evaluation system for all academic programs; and works in coordination with the Dean of Workforce Development and Technical Education, the Dean of Health Sciences, and the Dean of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. This position reports to the Vice President for Instruction.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

PART-TIME EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR— to teach ECE courses beginning Fall 2019 in the Moberly, Kirksville and Hannibal service areas through a combination of in-seat and virtual delivery. A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child and Family Life/Development, or closely related field; experience teaching in classrooms for birth to age five; and openness to working with technology in the classroom (using Learning Management Systems) is required. Preferred qualifications are training/certification in Program for Infant Toddler Care (PITC), Experience leading students in the CDA certification process, Experience with using LMS-Canvas, Blackboard and video conferencing such as Zoom.

ACADEMIC ADVISOR – at the MACC-Moberly campus requiring excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Bachelors' degree required. Full-time position, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Some weekend work may be required during the start of each semester. Excellent benefits.

HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST – The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support for human resources and payroll. Requires excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Data entry skills, spreadsheet, and word processing proficiency is required. A minimum of an Associate’s degree is preferred. HR and payroll experience is preferred. This is a full-time, salaried, non-exempt position with excellent benefits.

TRANSPORT TRAINING ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR – part-time positon approximately 20 hours per week (negotiable) requiring a minimum of five year’s occupational experience directly related to truck driving and hold a current Class “A” CDL and safe driving record (no moving violations in the last 3 years, no chargeable accidents in last 2 years). Instructor must also complete and pass D.O.T. physical and drug test. The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, other professionals, staff and the public is required. Must possess ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with a variety of people, including students, staff and general public.

CNA/CMT INSTRUCTORS AND EXAMINERS - MACC desires to secure Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Adjunct Instructors, Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Adjunct Instructors/Examiners and CNA Examiners. SECURITY OFFICER - Full-time position with benefits at MACC--Columbia from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. Duties and responsibilities include monitoring both people and property for safety concerns, locking/unlocking facilities, arming/disarming alarms, making ID cards. Applicant must have a high school diploma, must pass a background check and be willing to take first-aid, CPR/AED, baton, self-defense and pepper spray training.

CURRICULUM COACH-EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION - Bachelor’s in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or Early Care and Education required, Master’s preferred. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working with children birth to five years of age in group settings, be available to travel to different childcare sites within Boone County, and be able to undergo intensive training and complete certification requirements in the High Scope Program, out-of-state, have flexibility to teach evening/Saturday classes and complete classroom visits according to the students’ schedules, experience with mentoring and coaching teachers. Computer proficiency required. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.

ACADEMIC ADVISOR – at the MACC Columbia requiring excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Bachelors' degree required. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Full-time position, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Some weekend work and additional hours will be required during the start of each semester. Excellent benefits.

SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER (PART-TIME) - Associates Degree preferred. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work with a diverse population of students, and maintain student confidentiality. Interested interpreters must have experience interpreting in educational settings, hold a valid Missouri license at the (Missouri) Advanced or Comprehensive levels OR National Interpreter Certification with a Missouri license.

ENGLISH INSTRUCTOR - Master's degree in English or related field required; teaching experience preferred. Courses taught may include composition, literature, and developmental English. This is a full-time, 9 ¼ month position with excellent benefits. This position will be assigned instructional duties at MACC’s Columbia and Moberly campuses and begins January 2020. Online instruction as well as travel to other MACC sites may be required. Review of applications will begin September 16.

AGRICULTURE INSTRUCTOR - Master's degree in agriculture, agriculture science, agronomy, plant science, biology, or strongly-related field. Primary teaching assignments include plant science, crop science, and plant biology. Additional course assignments dependent on educational credentials. This new faculty position will play a key role in the continued course development and program growth of MACC’s Agriculture degrees, which are currently in their second year. This is a full-time, 10-month position with excellent benefits and will be assigned instructional duties at MACC’s Mexico campus. The position begins January 2020. Online, virtual, and hybrid instruction as well as travel to other MACC campuses may be required. Review of applications will begin September 16.
