Missouri CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) Training Classes

This eight-hour course covers and meets all State of Missouri criteria to receive your official Certificate of Qualification.  Topics to be covered are:

  • Principles of handgun safety
  • Basic principles of marksmanship
  • Care and cleaning of concealable firearms
  • Safe storage of firearms at home
  • Demonstrations by the applicant that he/she can safely load/unload the firearm and has demonstrated marksmanship
  • Review of firearms laws
  • Laws pertaining to justifiable use of force
  • Live fire exercises

We will need a minimum of 10 paid applicants for the class to take place.

Remember no personal weapons will be allowed in the classroom or the firing range.  Bring appropriate clothing for the firing range; you will be going to the firing range regardless of the weather.  Bring a lawn chair and drink.  Weapons and ammunition will be provided for you.  Mark Nichols will be the NRA Certified Firearms Instructor for this class.

* Directions from Hwy 63:  take Hwy EE exit (Rollins Street) to the college.  Come around to the back of the college to park in the big parking lot; you will see the Career Center on the right side of the lot.

MACC EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING AWARDS

 

Nomination Form of MACC Faculty

This online submission form allows all MACC students to nominate outstanding full-time faculty for the Parrish Award and outstanding adjuncts for the Outstanding Adjunct Award. According to the guidelines the Alfred and Hazel Parrish Award shall be presented to a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching, support of his/her students, and a commitment to community services. The Outstanding Adjunct Award is awarded to adjunct faculty members that exemplify outstanding teaching ability.

Please list your MACC faculty nominee below and include a short statement supporting your choice. 

 

All nominations to be considered shall be submitted by April 30, 2021
