MACC BASIC LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING ACADEMY HOLDS GRADUATION

The graduation ceremony for the Moberly Area Community College Law Enforcement Training Center Class 08-1 was held May 28, 2008, in the MACC Multipurpose Auditorium.

MACC President, Dr. Evelyn E. Jorgenson welcomed those in attendance to the ceremony. Ron Dulany, MACC Law Enforcement Training Center Director introduced distinguished guests. Jane Rabeni of the Boone County Fire District Pipes and Drums provided the traditional bagpipe performance. Skip McGuire, Investigator III with the State Technical Assistance Team High Tech Unit gave the commencement address. Additionally, Gary Iloff, class president, addressed the graduates.

The graduates were: Juston Lee Barnes (Kirksville), Teri Lynn Goodhart (Hannibal), Gary David Iloff (Moberly), Lance Allen Ketchum (Paris), George Byron McVay (Centralia), Christopher Lee Murray (Moberly), John Michael Partise (Glascow), Jake Dillion Pollard (Keytesville), Mandy Ann Sanders (Milan), Cody Joseph Smith (Moberly), Jennifer Dawn Worthey (Mexico).

The graduates receiving class awards were: Jennifer Worthey, Defensive Tactics and Excellence in First Responder; George McVay, Excellence in Marksmanship: Top Handgun; Cody Smith, Excellence in Marksmanship: Overall Shooter; Gary Iloff Excellence in Driving and Teamwork and Excellence in Report Writing; and Teri Goodhart, Highest Grade Point Average.

Other certificates presented were: Class president- Gary Iloff; Class Secretary- Jennifer Worthey; Historian- Teri Goodhart; Class Squad Leaders- George McVay, Jake Pollard, Cody Smith; Class Equipment Officers- John Partise; Perfect Attendance- Teri Goodhart, Lance Ketchum, John Partise, Cody Smith, and Jennifer Worthey.

Gary Iloff was the recipient of the Leon Egley and Jason Acton Memorial Scholarship.

All guests were invited to an informal reception immediately following the graduation ceremony.
