- Watershed Protection Project (Storm drain stenciling): We'll be working with Geri Blakey (Alpha Tau alumna) and the City of Moberly. The purpose is to create awareness in the community of what happens to water and the contaminants it contains once it disappears down the storm drain. - 5K Run/Walk sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa. We have over a dozen sponsors for the event as well as participants. Not only is this a fundraiser for the chapter, but also incorporates all four of Phi Theta Kappa's hallmarks (scholarship, leadership, service, fellowship).
- Better World Books--textbooks no older than 10 years may be donated and sent to Better World Books for programs such as Books for Africa, National Literacy Center and others. The chapter incurs no packaging or shipping costs and will receive 50 cents for each book accepted.
- Conferences:
- The regional Leadership Conference will be July 16-18, 2010 at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, MO.
- The regional honors conference will be November 19-21, 2010 at the YMCA of the Ozarks in Potosi, MO.
- Regional Convention will be the end of February or first weekend of March in 2011. Interested in running for a regional office?
