Assessment in Continuing Education

The mission statement of MACC directs the College to provide educational programs and services in the area of continuing education and to establish and maintain community partnerships and cooperative efforts with business and industry, labor, governmental entities, and private agencies for educational and economic development in the service region. In order to determine the effectiveness in meeting its mission and purpose in these areas, the College has developed an assessment of the services it provides through the Continuing Education program.

Because student learning outcomes are so diverse throughout the continuing education program, which includes career focus, customized training, and community education courses, the assessment plan developed for this area emphasizes the ability of the program to meet employer and community needs as well as the needs of the student.

PROGRAM: Continuing Education

PURPOSE:
To provide programs and services with an emphasis on upgrading work skills, work-related training, or personal development in response to business, industry, and community needs.
