Moberly Area Community College will be celebrating Veteran's Day on November 11 at 8 a.m. with a special ceremony on the College's front lawn. The community is invited to join in this time of honor. The event will begin at 8:00 AM with the National Guard Color Guard raising the flag on the front lawn of MACC and the MACC Singers will perform the National Anthem. MACC President Dr. Evelyn E. Jorgenson will speak and introduce the morning's speaker, Art Latson, Service Officer of VFW Post 2654, the singers and acknowledge the veterans in attendance. Immediately following, the College will host a reception with coffee and donuts in the Blue Room including door prize drawings for the veterans. MACC employees have created T-shirts for the occasion that say MACC supports our troops. The main entrance display cases currently have various military memorabilia on display and will also have a Wall of Honor listing (with pictures as available) all MACC student and employee veterans.
