MACC faculty and staff gathered on Friday, October 22, 2010, to celebrate the life of MACC Instructor Robert Wiseman by placing a plaque in the memorial garden on the main campus. David Fray offered a moving and humorous invocation to begin the event and then the stories began. The memories and laughter flowed freely from fellow employees past and present as well as Bob's two children who came to honor their father. Bob taught at MACC from 1989 until this year and will be sorely missed by all for his wit, sarcasm, unique worldview and enduring friendship. Former MACC history educator Ralph Gerhard gave the most profound statement of the event when he said, "Bob was a teacher. There are many who teach but there are few real teachers."
