Moberly Area Community College recently awarded the Charles E. and Margaret L. Hartig Scholarship to MACC Practical Nursing student Chrissa Wright of Fulton, Missouri. Wright is 24 years old and lives in Kingdom City with her two children Eddie who is 5 years old and Destiny who is 10 months old.
She plans on attending the MACC Accelerated Program after she has completed the Practical Nursing Program, which would start in January 2011.
The Hartig Scholarship was established by a trust fund from the Hartig estate in order to financially assist nursing students enrolled at MACC. In order to qualify for the scholarship, recipients must be recommended by MACC PN faculty, and demonstrate both academic promise and a financial need.
