MACC Presents 1959 Pink Thunderbird
Two plays in one!
In the first of these one-act companion pieces, "Laundry and Bourbon," join us on the front porch and listen to the sassy gossip of three rural Texan gals whose lives have fallen a little short of their dreams. Elizabeth confides that she hasn't seen her husband Roy in three days and she's worried that he can't seem to move forward since returning from Vietnam. Everything has changed for Roy, and about all he has left now is his adoring brother Ray, his wife Elizabeth and his now-crumbling '59 pink Thunderbird. The hilarious "Lone Star" finds Roy and his brother Ray out back of the local bar on a Saturday night carouse, trying to recapture their glory days with talk of girls, cars, and candy bars.
