College Hosts Pinning Ceremony

The MACC Accelerated Associate Degree Nursing (AADN) Pinning Ceremony was held in December in the MACC Auditorium. The AADN program provides licensed practical nurses the opportunity to obtain their ADN in as little as 12 months through a combination of web-based and traditional face-to-face instruction. AADN graduates are then eligible to sit for state certification as a Registered Nurse.

Twenty-five graduates participated in the ceremony. Tricia Watson-Adams, a clinic educator with SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Mexico gave the afternoon's address. MACC faculty and staff participated in presenting awards and pins.

AADN graduate Brooke Evans won the Barbara Dowell Memorial Scholarship, and the Mexico Clinical Excellence Award. AADN graduate Rebecca Garrett won the Moberly Clinical Excellence Award and the Academic Excellence Award
