MACC To Honor Alumni and Friends at Annual Banquet April 26
Outstanding Alumni, Distinguished Service recipients, Outstanding Faculty member, and anniversary classes to be recognized

The Moberly Area Community College Alumni and Friends Banquet will be Saturday, April 26 at Heartland Banquet Center in Moberly. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are now being accepted.

Alumni who have graduated from Moberly High School (or "lower division"), MACC (formerly MJC and MAJC), as well as friends who have supported the institution throughout the years are invited to attend.

"The annual alumni banquet is a great opportunity for alumni from all decades to reunite with classmates and faculty and to also meet new friends," said Chad Jaecques, director of institutional development and alumni services.

Alfred '40 and Hazel '41 (Stockton) Parrish, will be honored posthumously, along with their sons, Steve '68 (lower division) and Michael '77, as this year's Outstanding Alumni Award winners.

"The officers of the MACC Alumni Association are proud to be honoring the Parrish family this year," Jaecques said. "Not only do they have strong ties as alumni, but they continue to support our students, faculty, and the institution today."

Sally Poole '08 and Branson Wood, III will be presented with the Distinguished Service Award. Poole and Wood, both longtime members of Affordable Community Education board, were instrumental in fundraising for the new MACC Hannibal Higher Education Center facility.

Dustin Pascoe, MACC professor of language and literature at the Mexico campus, will be presented with the Outstanding Faculty Award.

The anniversary classes of 1954, 1964, 1974, 1989, and 2004 will be recognized. The induction of 14 sophomore men and women into the honorary organizations Brother's Ox and NGN will also take place at the Alumni and Friends Banquet this year.

Reservations must be made by April 24 by contacting Chad at or (660) 263-4100 x 11550. Tickets are $15 and there will be a cash bar available. For more information about the MACC Foundation or the Alumni Association, visit macc.edu/alumni.
