The MRMC Volunteers have chosen Ms. Krista Allen, nursing student at Moberly Area Community College as the spring 2014 recipient of the MRMC $1000 Volunteer Scholarship. "The healthcare field is vital to keeping people as productive as possible, as well as providing them with comfort and the best quality of life," explained Krista, "I love that the healthcare field takes a holistic approach to caring for people and the many dimensions a job in this field has: not only do we treat illnesses but also educate the public about healthy behaviors, innovate new technologies for treatments, and tailor our programs and treatments to each specific patient. It's an exciting time to be in healthcare and I am ready for the challenge," she said.
On behalf of the MRMC Volunteers, we congratulate Krista on her award and wish her continued success in her health care career.
