MACC Holds Law Enforcement Graduation

The graduation ceremony for the Moberly Area Community College Law Enforcement Training Center Class 12-1 was recently held in the MACC Multipurpose Auditorium.

MACC Dean of Career and Technical Education, Dr. Greg Mosier, welcomed those in attendance to the ceremony, Ron Dulany, MACC Law Enforcement Training Center Director introduced distinguished guests. Jane Rabeni, of the Boone County Fire District Pipes and Drums provided the traditional bagpipe performance. Von Abbott, addressed the graduates. Additionally, Scottie Vanlandingham, class president, addressed the graduates.

The graduates receiving class rewards were: Ryan Cowden of Center, Defensive Tactics, Excellence in Marksmanship: Top Handgun, and Excellence in Marksmanship: Overall Shooter. Jesse Ritter of Ewing, Excellence in Driving & Teamwork and Excellence in Report Writing. Alma Hayes of Columbia, Excellence in First Responder. Robert Pearson of Moberly, Highest Grade Point Average.

Other certificates presented were: Class President – Scottie Vanlandingham of Holliday. Class Secretary – Patrick Hollensteiner of Quincey; Class Historian – Alissa Sparrow of Canton; Class Squad Leaders – Dean Dady of Unionville, Clinton Montalbetti of Brookfield, Jesse Ritter of Ewing; Class Equipment Officer –  Jeffrey Gulley of Marceline. Perfect Attendance – Lucas Carmical of Brookfield, Dean Dady of Unionville, Scottie Vandlandingham of Holliday, William Vanlandingham of Moberly.

Clinton Montalbetti was the recipient of the Egley/Acton Memorial Scholarship.

All guests were invited to an informal reception immediately following the graduation ceremony.
