Lady Greyhounds Shoot for a Cure

Moberly Area Community College Lady Greyhounds suited up to do their part in spreading breast cancer awareness at the Mineral Area Game on February 11. The Lady Hounds sported pink T-shirts and socks.

Every school develops its own plan of how it wants to get involved with the Pink Out campaign and how far it wants to reach. Some schools do something as simple as wearing pink shoestrings, and others invite breast cancer survivors to the game or even wear pink uniforms. No matter how large or small the effort, the importance comes in the awareness it creates.

The Lady Hounds sold T-shirts to fans who also covered the stands in their own shades of pink gear. All proceeds from the T-shirt sales went to assist with cancer research.
