Professional Development Schedule

MACC intends to provide a quality, meaningful Professional Development program for all MACC employees. If you would like to see us offer any particular topic that would be relevant and valuable for you, please forward your suggestions to Instructional Technology. Professional development is very important for all employees to keep current in technology, legal issues, and other topics that help us do our jobs well and boost our morale. Every full-time employee is required to attend a minimum of 3 sessions each academic year. Please contact Instructional Technology at to register.

Let us talk about how to add videos into your course. We will touch on a variety of tools you can use to create or edit your videos, including Studio 27 (our video recording studio on the Moberly Campus). Positions available in Moberly, MO:


SECURITY OFFICER - Part-time temporary position for 3rd shift, 29 hours per week at the Moberly campus. Experience preferred. High school diploma required. Must be able to pass a background check.

HEAD WOMEN’S BASKETBALL COACH/INSTRUCTOR - at Moberly Area Community College. In addition to coaching duties, a teaching or support staff assignment will be made according to education and experience. A Master’s degree is preferred. Coaching experience is required, college-level preferred. This is a ten-month position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

CUSTODIAN- Experience preferred. Full-time afternoon/evening position at the Moberly campus. Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds and have a valid driver’s license.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS – Requires excellent graphic design skills for both print and web, photography skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Bachelor’s degree and previous experience in graphic design or marketing preferred. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.

SECRETARY– shared between the Early Childhood Education and the Adult Education and Literacy offices. Position requires exceptional computer and clerical skills for data entry, reporting and office management, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point (knowledge of Publisher helpful). Organization, problem solving, interpersonal/communication skills, and ability to interact with diverse people required. Full-time position with excellent benefits.

DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SCIENCES - Position provides oversight for all Allied Health and Nursing programs and reports to the Dean of Health Sciences. Bachelors of Nursing required, Masters of Nursing preferred. Must have a minimum of three (3) of the last five (5) years of experience in clinical practice, nursing administration, or nursing education. Must be currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse, with an undisciplined license in the State of Missouri. Previous administrative experience required. This is a full-time, 12-month position with excellent benefits.

FINANCIAL AID SPECIALIST – at the Moberly campus. Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, be organized and have ability to manage multiple tasks. Must have good problem-solving skills and the ability to implement critical thinking skills, and work under pressure, and must be detailed oriented and produce accurate records. Must have computer skills. Primary duties include assisting students and families with student financial aid options and processing federal and state financial aid applications. Knowledge of federal and state student financial aid programs would be helpful, but will train. Hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Full-time, salaried position with excellent benefits.

PAYROLL SPECIALIST – Primary duties include payroll processing and account analysis. Payroll and/or accounting experience is preferred. Computer skills are essential. An Associate’s degree is preferred. This is a full-time, salaried position with excellent benefits.

RESOURCE COORDINATOR at the MACC – Columbia Higher Education Center.  Must have excellent verbal, written, organization, and interpersonal communication skills, and have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. This position will oversee the daily operations of the LARC at the Columbia site; assist students, faculty, and staff with resources, research, and other educational projects; and recruit, train, and supervise tutors. Experience with library or learning center services and supervising student workers preferred. Bachelors' degree required.  Full-time position with excellent benefits. 

PART-TIME CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR - clinical instructor position available for Mental Health in the Associate Degree Nursing Program in the Columbia, Missouri area for Fall 2018. B.S.N. and 3 years of recent clinical experience and teaching experience preferred. Current undisciplined Missouri RN license required.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MACC – KIRKSVILLE HIGHER EDUCATION CENTER – Will work closely with the Director to manage day-to-day operations of the Kirksville campus.  Must be detail-oriented, flexible, able to problem solve, multi-task, meet deadlines, and work with all types of people.  Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.  Full-time position, 9:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., with excellent benefits.

ADULT EDUCATION AND LITERACY INSTRUCTOR – needed for MACC at the Vandalia prison. Part-time, approximately 10 hours per week. Requires a Bachelor’s degree with ability to obtain adult education teaching certificate. Prior teaching experience a plus. Will conduct program activities including teaching students who are studying for the on-line high school equivalency exam. Must be proficient with the use of computers.

NURSING INSTRUCTOR - for MACC Practical Nursing program at the Advanced Technology Center in Mexico, MO. Qualifications include a BSN, minimum of three years current clinical practice, and a current undisciplined Missouri license as a registered nurse. Teaching experience and clinical experience in adult nursing is preferred. This is a full time 12 month position with excellent benefits. Applications accepted until position is filled.

AGRICULTURE TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR – Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field required. Master’s degree in Agriculture Science or related field with knowledge of Agriculture Systems and teaching experience preferred. This is a full-time, 10-month position with excellent benefits with extended contract to begin this summer. This position will be assigned instructional duties at the MACC - Mexico Higher Education Center. Online instruction as well as travel to other MACC campuses may be required.
