The Direct Student Loan Program

Beginning with the 2010/2011 academic year, Moberly Area Community College will participate exclusively in the Federal Direct Student Loan Program which includes Subsidized Student Loans, Unsubsidized Student Loans and Parent Loans. MACC previously participated in the Federal Family Educational Loan Program (FFELP) and students were required to choose a private lender. The Federal Government is the lender in the Federal Direct Student Loan Program. Students and parents interested in federal student and parent loans will be required to apply through the Federal Direct Student Loan Program. All students must complete an MACC Student Loan Data Sheet, as well as a new student loan entrance counseling and a new master promissory note (MPN) with the Federal Direct Student Loan Program.
