Missouri Pre-STEM Pathways
The Missouri Pre-STEM Pathways Program is intended to help community college students achieve a baccalaureate degree in Science or Mathematics by providing scholarship opportunities, targeted academic advising, assistance with the transfer process, and enhanced career awareness. The program is supported by a grant awarded to Truman State University from the National Science Foundation.
Through the Missouri Pre-STEM Pathways Program, Truman State University is able to offer special scholarship support for students while they take courses at MACC that prepare them for a baccalaureate program in Science or Math (regardless of whether they transfer to Truman).
To be considered for a scholarship, students must register for the Missouri Pre-STEM Pathways Program. Full-time MACC students who are enrolled in the AA or AS degree program and intend to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program in Science or Math at a Missouri college or university are eligible to apply for scholarships up to $1,000 in value for the spring 2010 semester. Upon registration, MACC students will be sent a Pre-STEM scholarship application via their MACC email account. Up to ten scholarships may be awarded. Students must register by February 15, 2010, to be considered for a scholarship. However, students may continue to register for the program at any time.
For more information, students may contact the Office of Academic Affairs at Moberly Area Community College at 660-263-4100 x397 or 800-622-2070 x397.
