College Base

College BASE is a required assessment for education majors.

C-BASE Test Information

College BASE, a test of general education, assesses knowledge and skills in four subject areas: English, mathematics, science, and social studies. College BASE also measures three cross-disciplinary competencies: interpretive reasoning, strategic reasoning, and adaptive reasoning. This test also includes a 40-minute writing exercise for which students compose an essay in response to a specific writing prompt.

To be eligible to take the College BASE exam, you must meet the following requirements:

• Current MACC student
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Completed EDU220 (Foundations of Education)with a grade of C or better

The fee for the College BASE exam is $56.00. College BASE results are available approximately four weeks after testing.
