Voice Lessons - ($320 value)

Maybe you've always wanted to sing, but never took the plunge! Join vocal coach Amy Johns for four voice lessons (2 hours each) for up to 10 people to find the tone you've always dreamed of.

Amy Johns received both a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Masters in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has performed wide-ranging roles in musical and operatic performances from Die Fledermaus to Grease. Most recently, Amy served as a soprano soloist for Columbia College's Jane Froman Singers during their performance of Haydn's Missa Brevia during their tour of Austria; she has also sung as a soloist with MACC Singers and has performed for numerous weddings, special events, and fundraisers. Amy taught private voice at Stephens College and Columbia College, and maintained a private voice and piano studio for several years in the mid-Missouri area.

Leather Furniture from the Stamper Library

The David W. Stamper Memorial Science Library was formally opened on Nov. 12, 1944. Stamper was born and received his grade and high school education in Moberly. While attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he enlisted in the Marine Air Corps. He was killed May 16, 1943 in a crash while in training. In David's memory, the Stamper family set up this fund to establish the Library.

The original furniture will be auctioned off. The items to be auctioned include: 7 wood chairs with leather seat, back and arms; 1 wood chair with leather seat and back (no arms); 3 leather high back chairs; a leather couch; 2 end/side tables (28"x14"x24"tall); 1 table (72" x 36" x 30"tall); 1 office desk (72" x 38" x 30"tall); 2 floor lamps; and 1 1940's globe on a wooden stand. The tags on the vintage furniture is from Mulkey's Fine Upholstered Furniture in Moberly, Mo.
