NOTICE: The deadline for the Virtual/Hybrid AADN program is October 17, 2014.

The Virtual/Hybrid Associate Degree Nursing Accelerated Admissions Option provides licensed practical nurses the opportunity to obtain their ADN in as little as 12 months. The virtual/hybrid program combines the benefits of web-based and traditional face-to-face instruction. The real-time web-based instructional delivery platform brings the education to the comfort of the students’ own homes and at one of our off-campus locations. Traditional hands-on classroom/lab experiences, face-to-face faculty engagement, experience with state-of-the-art simulation equipment and real-life clinical experiences, all take place in the students’ local community. The program is offered at the main campus in Moberly, Missouri, the Kirksville Area Technical Center in Kirksville, Missouri and the Advanced Technology Center in Mexico, Missouri.

Graduates of MACC’s Accelerated Associate Degree Nursing program can function as managers of patient care under the supervision of a more experienced professional nurse and assume responsibility for guidance of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled members of the nursing team.

After successfully completing the program, the student is eligible to apply to take the National Council of Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses. Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Sec. 335.066, provides additional criteria for eligibility to apply for licensure to practice nursing. Successful completion of the program does not guarantee eligibility to take the licensing exam. Satisfactory performance on this examination will qualify the student for licensure as a registered nurse.
