Testingtesting

Although MACC is an open admission college, certain classes and programs require testing for various reasons. For instance, if you’re not sure how well you are going to do in College Algebra, taking the COMPASS is a great way to make sure you are placed in a math course that matches your current skill level. Below are the tests and schedules available at MACC.

ACT

The COMPASS or ACT test is required by Moberly Area Community College for placement into English and math courses.

APNE

The Aptitude for Practical Nursing Examination (APNE) is used to assist in making the most accurate and fair decision possible regarding the admission of an applicant into the Practical Nursing program.

College Base

College BASE is a required assessment for education majors.

CLEP

CLEP exams allow people who have acquired knowledge outside the usual educational settings to show that they have learned college-level material so that they can bypass certain college courses. The CLEP exams cover material that is taught in introductory-level courses at many college and universities.

COMPASS

The COMPASS or ACT test is required by Moberly Area Community College for placement into English and math courses.
