Positions available in Moberly, MO:

NURSING INSTRUCTOR – Faculty position teaching adult nursing courses for the Associate Degree Nursing Program on the Moberly campus. BSN required, MSN preferred. Three years full-time clinical experience in an acute care, high acuity setting within the last five years. Current undisciplined Missouri RN license required. This is a full-time, 9 1/4 month position with excellent benefits.

DIRECTOR OF THE LIBRARY AND ACADEMIC RESOURCE CENTER - The Director shall be responsible for the management of the Library and Academic Resource Center (LARC). This position provides oversight of day-to-day operations of the LARC and provides assistance to students, faculty and other library patrons. The Director works primarily at MACC-Moberly but is responsible for LARC services at all 5 MACC locations. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Library Science or research-based subject area; technology aptitude and proficiency; strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; and the ability to work with a diverse population. A background in educational services is helpful. This is a full-time, FLSA exempt, salaried 12-month position with excellent benefits.

PEER COUNSELOR - Must be a current MACC student. Will work with Student Affairs and Financial Aid staff on student success activities such as events to promote financial literacy and campus involvement for students. This is a part-time, semester long, hourly position.

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST - Full-time position with excellent benefits. Bachelor’s degree required. This position will be the primary intake point of contact for instructional technology including the learning management system and online learning resources; mobile apps, online testing solutions, web conferencing tools, and other technology used in the teaching and learning process. Responsibilities include working with the Instructional Technology team to support the daily operations of online programs and instructional technology needs of faculty, staff and students. Extensive experience with computers and the ability to learn new software programs easily is required. This well-organized individual must possess excellent customer service skills and an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER.

Responsibilities: The Chief Information Officer works closely with the leadership team in developing and maintaining an IT infrastructure that supports the needs of the college. This position provides leadership and direction to Technology & Computer Services staff to ensure effective, efficient and secure operations for Moberly Area Community College. This position reports to the College President.

Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree in computer, technology, or a business related field.  A minimum of five years’ experience in computer and/or technology, demonstrated leadership and management skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage a complex operating environment and related budget is required.  Experience in higher education, secondary education, or not-for-profit experience is preferred.

TRANSPORT TRAINING ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR – part-time positon approximately 20 hours per week (negotiable) requiring a minimum of five year’s occupational experience directly related to truck driving and hold a current Class “A” CDL and safe driving record (no moving violations in the last 3 years, no chargeable accidents in last 2 years). Instructor must also complete and pass D.O.T. physical and drug test. The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, other professionals, staff and the public is required. Must possess ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with a variety of people, including students, staff and general public.

CNA/CMT INSTRUCTORS AND EXAMINERS - MACC desires to secure Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Adjunct Instructors, Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Adjunct Instructors/Examiners and CNA Examiners. SECRETARY FOR PRACTICAL NURSING & SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS - provides administrative support of these MACC programs in Columbia, MO. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, Associate Degree is preferred. Must be personable, detail oriented, organized, possess excellent English verbal and written communication skills, able to meet deadlines and complete projects on a timely basis, maintain confidentiality, and have good typing and computer skills with all required software. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.

DIRECTOR OF SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM – at the MACC-Columbia Higher Education Center. The director of the surgical technology program shall be responsible for the overall program curriculum in addition to some instructional duties. The qualifications include: certified surgical technologist with at least 3 years’ experience, bachelor’s degree preferred. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR (Cybersecurity focus) – Primary instructional duties at the MACC Columbia Higher Education Center in Columbia, MO, teaching students face-to-face and virtually. Must be Cisco CCENT/CCNA certified or be able to become certified within 12 months and know the Windows Server Environment. Master’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a closely related field and teaching experience are preferred, Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of professional experience considered. This is a full-time, 9 ¼ month position with excellent benefits.

FINANCIAL AID SPECIALIST – at the MACC-Columbia Higher Education Center. Duties include advising students and reviewing applications for federal and state financial aid, including Veterans benefits. Must work well with the public, have organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent computer skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and good problem-solving skills. Student financial aid experience preferred, but will train. Hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Full-time with excellent benefits.

MUSIC INSTRUCTOR - Master's degree in music required; teaching experience preferred. Teaching assignments include music courses such as Music Appreciation, Fundamentals of Music, World Music, and Music of America. This faculty member has oversight of the MACC Singers; the Singers meet weekly and a minimum of two concerts are held each academic year. This is a full-time, 9 ¼ month position with excellent benefits. This position will be assigned instructional duties at MACC’s Columbia and Moberly campuses and begins mid-August 2019. PART-TIME CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR - clinical instructor position available for Maternal/Child rotations in the Associate Degree Nursing Program in the Columbia, Missouri area for Fall 2018. Positions available in Mexico, MO:


ADVANCED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR– This is a full-time, 11-month instructor position teaching primarily in Mexico but also in Columbia; travel to other campuses may be required. In addition to classroom duties, the instructor will assist with continuous development of curriculum, recruitment and advisement of students, maintenance and organization of laboratory equipment, development of training resources, communication and consultation with local industry, and participation in assigned committees and college-wide meetings. Bachelor’s degree in integrated technology discipline or related discipline, working knowledge of Solidworks and additive manufacturing required (or its equivalent in demonstrated professional competence.) Master’s and teaching experience preferred. Three years of industry experience is highly preferred.

PEER COUNSELOR - Must be a current MACC student. Will work with Student Affairs and Financial Aid staff on student success activities such as events to promote financial literacy and campus involvement for students. This is a part-time, semester long, hourly position. 

 

AGRICULTURE INSTRUCTOR - Master's degree in agriculture, agriculture science, agronomy, plant science, biology with emphasis in plant science, or strongly-related field. Primary teaching assignments include plant science, crop science, and plant biology. Additional course assignments dependent on educational credentials. This new faculty position will play a key role in the continued course development and program growth of MACC’s Agriculture degrees, which are currently in their first year. This is a full-time, 9 ¼ month position with excellent benefits and will be assigned instructional duties at MACC’s Mexico campus. The position begins mid-August 2019. Online, virtual, and hybrid instruction as well as travel to other MACC campuses may be required. Review of applications will continue until position is filled.

SECURITY OFFICER - Part-time position, approximately 24 hours per week (7:00am to 1:00pm Monday through Thursday) at MACC-Mexico. Experience preferred. Applicant must have a high school diploma (or equivalent), must pass a background check, and be willing to take first-aid, CPR/AED, and additional training as needed.

PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR needed for EET101 Industrial Electricity (Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.) and IND105 Fluid Power Principles (Thursdays from 8-10 a.m.) in Mexico, MO, for the spring semester. Qualifications can include a combination of education and experience in the field.

ADULT EDUCATION AND LITERACY INSTRUCTOR – needed for MACC at the Vandalia prison. Part-time, approximately 10 hours per week. Requires a Bachelor’s degree with ability to obtain adult education teaching certificate. Prior teaching experience a plus. Will conduct program activities including teaching students who are studying for the on-line high school equivalency exam. Must be proficient with the use of computers.
