Positions available in Moberly, MO:

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - Experience preferred. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have a valid driver's license. Full-time position with excellent benefits.

GROUNDS PERSON/CUSTODIAN - Two part-time, temporary positions available for the spring/summer months. Flexible hours Monday through Friday. Must be capable of operating mowers/grounds equipment, working outdoors and installing landscaping. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have a valid driver’s license.

PHILOSOPHY INSTRUCTOR  -  Master's degree required, teaching experience preferred. Courses taught may include Philosophy, Ethics, Religions of the World, and Logic. Full-time, 9 1/4 month position split between the Moberly campus and Advanced Technology Center in Mexico, MO; may also require online teaching or travel to other MACC sites. Position begins August, 2014. Excellent benefits. Review of applications begins April 4.

HUMAN RESOURCES SUPPORT SPECIALIST - The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support for payroll and human resources. Payroll and HR experience preferred. Computer skills are essential. Associate’s degree preferred. Full-time, salaried position with excellent benefits.

CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT (CNA) ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR  - needed for classroom instruction at MACC in Moberly. Individuals applying must be currently certified by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services for this function and be listed on the CNA Instructor Registry.

COMPUTER TECHNICIAN - at the main campus in Moberly. Must be skilled in PC troubleshooting & repair, Windows, MAC, Linux, network wiring, equipment installation. Minimum of Associate’s degree preferred.

 

Positions available in Columbia, MO:

SECURITY OFFICER - needed at the MACC—Columbia Higher Education Center from 8:30-5pm. Experience preferred. High school diploma required. Must be able to pass a background check. Full-time position with excellent benefits.

 

Positions available in Edina, MO:

PART-TIME SECRETARY/ CUSTODIAN at the Jim Sears Northeast Technical Center in Edina - This position requires computer, communication, clerical, cleaning, organization, customer service, and telephone skills. An associate’s degree is preferred. Twenty hours per week, Monday through Thursday.

 

Positions available in Kirksville, MO:

HISTORY INSTRUCTOR - Master's degree in History or related field required; teaching experience preferred. Courses taught may include American History, Western Civilization, World Geography, and American Government. This is a full-time, 9 ¼ month position with excellent benefits. Position will be assigned primary instructional duties at the MACC-Kirksville Higher Education Center and begins August 2014. Online instruction as well as travel to other MACC sites may be required. Positions available in Hannibal, MO:

BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR - Master's degree in Biology or related field required; teaching experience preferred. Courses taught may include Biology, Human Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, and Zoology. This is a full-time, 9 ¼ month position with excellent benefits. This position will be assigned instructional duties at the MACC - Hannibal Higher Education Center and begins August, 2014. Online instruction as well as travel to other MACC sites may be required. Part-time College Instructors (Adjunct Faculty):

Availability of adjunct faculty positions is based on enrollment in courses offered at all MACC sites. Applicants will be added to our "pool" of adjunct faculty, with credentials kept on file for three years. A Masters degree is required for most subject areas, with 18 graduate hours in the subject area, and teaching experience is preferred. LAL022 Fundamentals of Writing daytime position

 

ADJUNCT WELDING INSTRUCTOR - beginning August 21, 2014. Classes meet Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-10 pm. Qualifications: AWS Level I certification required, AWS Welding Educator certification preferred. Final candidates will complete a hands-on skills assessment. The welding instructor must be able to teach all types of welding including ARC, OXY, MIG, and TIG; and prepare students for both written and hands-on Level I AWS Certification test.

 

PART-TIME INSTRUCTORS

The MACC Entrepreneurship and Business Development Center (EBDC) is looking for individuals interested in teaching a continuing education class and who have an idea for a course. Our staff will help each individual understand the steps of becoming a continuing education instructor and develop a proposal for a class.
